Five Fall Photo Hot Spots

We are proud our states natural beauty and want you to enjoy some of our favorite spots around the state. No matter your photography experience, photos cement memories into our memories and we challenge you to get out and make as many memories as you can.

1. Doughnut Falls / Cardiff Fork (Big Cottonwood Canyon)

6.6 Miles  |  1,984 ft Elevation Gain  |  Out & Back

On this adventure you will be able to capture natures colors, a unique waterfall and even a mine. This is a very popular hike and a lot of people forget about whats beyond Doughnut Falls, Cardiff Fork Mine. Trails starts out with Doughnut Falls Trail and continues up the old mining road. Get a great idea of the distance miners had to cover and see some of Big Cottonwood’s best views.

2. Cummings Parkway Drive (Midway, Utah)

17.9 Miles  |  990 ft Elevation Gain  |  Point to Point

No need to get our of the car for this outing. Cummings Parkway Drive is a 17.9 mile point-to-point trail and is great getaway. Trail is primarily used for nature trips, scenic drives, and off-roading. Great time of year for this drive while traffic is at a minimum, crank the tunes and enjoy!
3. Salt Creek Canyon Falls (Nephi, Utah)
2.6 Miles  |  364 ft Elevation Gain  |  Out & Back
Easy but very rewarding adventure while very private with little traffic. Trail starts at the northwest end of Bear Canyon Campground and heads through a narrow forested canyon along the Salt Creek. There is a small waterfall at the end and provides great access to natures beauty while being a great adventure for all ages.
4. Bair Canyon Trail (Kaysville, Utah)

9.4 Miles  |  4,307 ft Elevation Gain  |  Out & Back

This is an adventure for a thrill taker and someone who wants a challenge. This trail is used for the Bair Gutsman race and is very difficult. The steep climbs take you to unforgettable views. There is an abandoned mine shaft to cautiously explore as well.
5. The Vortex (Gunlock, Utah)

2.2 Miles  |  492 ft Elevation Gain  |  Out & Back

The vortex features an compelling bowl that has been formed into the sandstone. Trail is located near Gunlock, Utah that is a moderate hike. A great place to let the kids excitement run wild and see some amazing geology with views. Follow the cairns to the vortex.
